8 March Members of Respect protest in Camden High Street

4 March Health Scrutiny Committee meeting, Camden Town Hall: Dr Daniel Toeg presented a deputation expressing concern at the PCT decision. Public anger was also expressed by patients and other residents at the meeting

21 February A report in the Camden New Journal by Richard Olsey and Tom Foot announced that a legal challenge to the PCT decision was proposed

February A Brunswick Centre patient, Barbara Saunders, was asked to take the PCT decision forward for a judicial review (but see entry for 25 March)

31 January  "Here come the 'sicko' surgeries", a report by Dan Carrier, was published in the Camden New Journal. This report was probably the first time that local residents other than patients at the three affected practices realised that something serious was happening

Late January/early February Patients registered at three Camden practices receive a letter dated 25 January from the PCT, announcing that UnitedHealth had been awarded the contract to run these practices (Camden Road, King's Cross Road and Brunswick Medical Centre)

2007

March A letter from the Camden Primary Care Trust (PCT) dated 12 March announcing the service specification "for future tendering of General Primary Care Services in Camden, and the selection criteria we will use to decide who is awarded the contract" was supposedly sent "to whom it may concern". The consultation period was to run from 12 March to 13 April 2007. This letter and the related 28-page document were not in fact received or obtained by the majority of patients (in fact, no one has yet been found who says they got the consultation letter).
